How are bolts made?
What is a bolt?
A bolt is a form of threaded fastener with an external male thread, which is used to join two parts together.
What are bolts made of?
Three materials are most common in the market:
Carbon Steel, including mild steel, middle carbon steel, high carbon steel.
Stainless Steel, like SS302, SS304, SS316.
Yellow Copper, zinc-copper alloy, H62, H65, H68.

Production process of bolts
Wire Rod. Raw materials inspection, uncoiled, strengthened and cut to length needed.
Acid pickling. Using acid solution to remove the oxide skin and corrosion of the materials.
Drawing. Molding the materials into the right shape at room temperature.
Heading. Forcing the materials into different various dies or head.
Threading. Forming or cutting to create threads on the inside or outside of the fastener.
Heat treatment. This is for increasing the overall durability of bolts, including hardening and tempering.
Surface treatment. Plain, Zinc, Black, Hot dip galvanized, Dacromet, Teflon etc.
Finished Products. Final products ready, after inspection can send to package.
Packing. Carton and pallet, customized packages are available.
Delivery. Usually 1~3 months after receive orders.
